GEMINI is an innovative solution developed by CLS iMation to design real added-value solutions and offer customers an immersive and engaging experience as early on as the planning phase
Milan (Italy), 3rd March 2023 – Adding to its standout service range as a consultant and supplier of innovation, CLS iMation is delighted to announce the launch of GEMINI, the new software suite for designing real added-value solutions in the field of intralogistics and factory logistics.
Driven by a tireless need to innovate and exceed customers’ expectations for specificity with an engaging realistic concept, CLS iMation has come up with a brand-new solution that transcends the idea of simulation: GEMINI. The suite features a wide array of tools which enable CLS iMation to follow the customer throughout the project, from initial concept to plant delivery. Thanks to this new solution, the CLS business unit dedicated to Intelligent Solutions for Logistics Automation manages to establish a more direct line with the customer, getting a clearer picture of its needs and meeting its requirements more effectively. GEMINI becomes a tool with which CLS iMation is able to study, design and configure its own solutions, boosting the value of the operations conducted inside the plant and keeping installation costs and time to a bare minimum.
GEMINI is split up into three packages: GEMINI Solutions, GEMINI VR & GEMINI Commissioning:

- With GEMINI Solutions, CLS iMation is able to simulate the solution already being explored. The tool allows the user to model both manual operations and those carried out by automatic machines. Thanks to the repeatability of the simulations and sheer level of detail, GEMINI Solutions reduces investment risk while helping to identify the best possible solution through in-depth analyses of each project KPI.
- GEMINI VR is a tool that allows customers to periodically receive materials and detailed documentation on how their project is progressing. Furthermore, customers can also enjoy an immersive experience of their own within that which will be their plant once solution installation has been completed.
- Last but not least, with GEMINI Commissioning, CLS iMation can get the plant simulation to interact with its own WMS or with that of the customer. This minimises the time required for installation as well as reducing the number and extent of the improvements that would otherwise be carried out after plant delivery. Indeed, without a tool like this, the scheduled commissioning date would be at risk and there could be delays of days or even weeks.
